Which place is reserved to citizen engagement? To what extend could digital projects & practices lead to urban innovations? What are the key factors of successful projects? What place is hold for the citizens? How are these dynamics questioned in different countries and at different scales?
The heterogeneity of situations is difficult to grasp within two days. To overcome this complex situation, our purpose is to focus on a concrete case: Seine et Marne territory, a territory mixing urban and rural specificities on the edge of the future “Great Paris”.
How are those internal changes experienced by the citizens? The area of Val Europe is born to rebalance the largest economic center of west Paris. Its population increased by 300% within the last 3 years to 6 years and will double hen2030. It is a peculiar case of promises experimentation of the “new cities”. Is this rural transition to urban promoting the Welfare of each and another?
This summer school is traditionally an informal space of exchanges. It allows widening horizons and opening new ways of thoughts. Those paths could be addressed in workshops such as barcamp. The renewal application GDRI for example launched the discussion of the territory as a common good, critical approach to smart specialization, prosperity without growth,, news of the movement of the Transition.
